April 29 - May 3

Students may wear spirit shirts today or their Language Day T-Shirts.  Our class is leading Rise and Shine this morning so paretns feel free to come if you have the time.  We start at 8:30 and it should get done by 8:50.

The Language Expo is today, students will have the time after Lunch (1:00-3:00) to explore the different classrooms and what projects the middle schoolers work on during the year.

Math:  We began the process of finding the Lowest Common Multiple when trying to add/subtract fractions with unlike denominators, now we are going to further the process and begin the second step of the process.  Students can expect two homework assignments this week and possibly a small quiz on the first step in the process.

S.S.: We just finished the Southeast region and have moved onto the Middle West.  A test on the state capitals, abbreviations, and locations will be May 9th, a Thursday.  For help studying visit quizlet.com, it has a lot of great practice test materials.

Language Arts:  It is my goal to finish up with linking verbs and begin using contractions in writing this week.  Next week will see a quiz on using contractions.

Religion:  The poster project that we have been working on for the last 3 weeks in-class, will be finished up this week and posted outside the classroom.

Spelling:  The Vocabulary test from last week was very high (I think our highest average) so I am very happy with how prepared everyone was.  This week's spelling words will be on Unit 16.
