May 13 - May 17

Thank you parents for all that you did for the teachers last week, we truly felt appreciated and loved and we couldn't do it without the support and assistance from our parents, especially those who spend their time volunteering.

Math - Monday and Tuesday will be review days and then Wednesday is our final test day.  The test will be on simplifying fractions, adding/subtractions fractions with unlike denominators, and making fractions equivalent.

Social Studies - We have a small and simple test on the Southwest Region Tuesday (Mr. Liedl's class) and Wednesday (Mr. Shildt and Mrs. VanDolah's classes).  The final test on the four regions we have covered (Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, and Southwest) will be next Wednesday (May 22), students should already be studying for this.

Spelling - Final week of spelling! The Unit 17 Spelling test will be this Friday.

Language Arts - We have a test this Tuesday on linking verbs, helping verbs, contractions, action verbs, and verb tenses.  Wednesday we are going to try to finish up our Great Mail Race project and I will mail them out at the end of the week.

Religion - The theme of the week is Self-Esteem.  Student should know that they are special and were specifically created in God's image.
