October 8 - 12, 2012

Thank you to all of you parents/guardians who helped chaperon at the Tulsa State Fair last Wednesday.

Below is a list of what we will be doing during the week:

Spelling
We are starting unit five for this and the next week, this week will be focused on spelling the following words:
1.  antique
2.  baggage
3.  digest
4.  establish
5.  eternal
6.  haste
7.  humid
8.  lash
9.  oppose
10. pioneer
11.  sensible
12.  worthy

Please remember that students need to be able to spell these words in cursive on Friday.

Math
In math this week we are finishing chapter 2 (2.6, 2.7, 2.8) and beginning to explore some algebraic functions.  Parents can expect homework every night except for Friday this week.

Social Studies
We are studying the 1700-1800s right now in Social studies, with a focus on the Louisiana Purchase and the French and Indian War and how these historical events affected the development of Oklahoma.  Expect homework Monday, Tuesday/Wednesday, and Thursday night.

Language Arts
Our Test is this Tuesday, students were given a study guide last week, and should be bringing that home to study. 

ReligionWe will continue the last weeks theme by focusing on the Ten Commandments and how they can be liberating.
